Localhost: Lightning Talks VII
We're hosting an evening of lightning talks at Xandr!
This Localhost will feature four talks about art and randomness, genome assembly, and more!
Food and drinks will be available at 7:00 pm, and there will be talks from 7:30 - 8:15 pm. We will not have a dedicated Q&A session, but you'll be able to chat with the speakers after the talks.
Our speakers:
- Jaryn Colbert, Summer 1, 2019, on Sol-itude: an exploration of randomness through the art of Sol LeWitt.
- Sebastian (Blinry) Morr, Spring 2, 2019, on "legit", an esoteric programming language where programs are defined by the graph of commits in a Git repository.
- Gretchen Wright, Fall 2, 2018, on doing genome assembly by finding an Eulerian path in a De Bruijn graph.
- Wesley Aptekar-Cassels, Summer 2 '17 & Mini 4 '19, on Plotty Bird: writing games on a 1980s era pen plotter.
